The Latest on Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman Trial

George Zimmerman, looking serious in court

UPDATE: I am understanding that George Zimmerman, who has pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder for fatally shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin last year, is challenging the expected use of a voice-recognition expert at his upcoming murder trial.

Apparently, Trayvon’s family claims that a voice heard on 911 calls made by neighbors during the struggle is Trayvon’s. But Zimmerman’s attorney filed a motion asking for a hearing to determine whether testimony from the expert would be allowed, and arguing that it could confuse jurors, from recent news reports

I’m trying to stay up with various reports and will sumarize them daily, when appropriate, as the trial grows closer.

Meanwhile, The Plan is near completion and will be sent out to editors by next week. Very soon, I’ll post the first three chapters online, here, for your enjoyment. It is an exciting book, with all of the flavor of the Mississippi Delta, but taking readers into South America, as well. I’ll enjoying reading your comments

Also coming very soon will be the posting of mp3 recording of Who Killed Emmett Till? that was professionally recorded by the same actor who recorded Chicken Soup For The Soul. And I’ll let blog followers know when this is up.

If you haven,’t yet, please subscribe to this blog. I think you’ll enjoy what’s to come.

As always, I appreciate your comments. Susan
